Hi, guys! Happy Friday!
If you follow me on Instagram Stories, you probably already know that I’m on a plane to Albuquerque, New Mexico for Altitude Camp with Brooks Running and the other blog ambassadors. We’ll be there for the weekend, and we’ll have a chance to experience what training is all about for the Brooks Beasts. We have some really cool activities planned, including a track workout, trail run, and a running nutrition session, all of which I am super excited to share on CNC next week. In the meantime though, you can follow along on the Brooks Running Instagram Stories (I’m taking over on Saturday) as well as Carrots ‘N’ Cake Instagram Stories to see what’s happening at Altitude Camp in real time!
Ok, so it’s Friday, which means it’s time for another edition of What I’m Loving Lately. Despite the snowstorm earlier this week and snow + ice still covering the ground, I can’t help but think about SPRING. Man, I’m so ready for it. Anyway, here’s what I’m loving lately, much of which is spring-inspired!
Express One Eleven V-Neck Skimming Tee: I love a good tee and this one is awesome. Its silhouette is the perfect balance between fitted and draped, which, of course, is super comfy and could be worn under a sweater or cardigan or on its own with jeans or leggings. I need like five in my wardrobe ASAP!
Vans Classic Slip-On Sneaker – I’m still in the market for a versatile slip-on sneaker and these ones from Vans are a top contender! I’m debating between to them and these ones from Sperry. Decisions, decisions…
I loved this post from my friend Kath (and it was so relateable): Things You Drink: Why I Am Drinking Less Coffee And Wine.
Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough LARABAR – I’m starting to think I have a LARABAR problem. Ha! I eat one of these bars almost everyday. I like them cold from the fridge as well as heated up in the microwave with a scoop of vanilla Greek yogurt on top. So yum!
Trader Joe’s Creamy Salted Cashew Butter – The photo below says in all!
Ben & Jerry’s Frozen Flakes Ice Cream – I recently had the opportunity to try Ben & Jerry’s new Cereal Splashbacks, which combine childhood favorites with ice cream, and I immediately fell in love with the Frozen Flakes flavor. It reminds me of a caramel waffle cone flavor. Mmmm! Love. Anyway, the new Cereal Splashbacks flavors are: Fruit Loot (cereal milk ice cream with a crisp fruit cereal swirl), Frozen Flakes (cereal milk ice cream with a crisp cereal swirl – my favorite!), and Cocoa Loco (chocolate cereal milk ice cream with a crisp chocolate cereal swirl). The flavors are suppose to remind you of the sweet milk that is leftover after you finish a bowl of cereal. Cereal Splashbacks are available only at Ben & Jerry’s Scoop Shops.
You guys know how much I love easy recipes! This post from my friend Anne has some awesome ideas: My 7 Easiest Dinner Recipes!
VTech Go! Go! Smart Wheels Ultimate RC Speedway – Qman actually received this toy for his birthday last year, but it was revived recently and he’s obsessed with it again! I actually think Mal likes it a lot too because he gets to make all sorts of fun track creations for Quinn!
